Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. while reviewing the complaints of your son [nausea, loss of appetite]it probably looks like an acute case of viral hepatitis and since there is a positive history of cancer in family thus consult a Hepatologist to discuss all the possible causes, initially one has to go for routine investigations like:
- Hb%, TLC, DLC, ESR
- Liver Function Tests [LFT] including Serum bilirubin, SGOT/SGPT, Prothrombin time, Serum proteins, Alkaline Phosphatase
- Urine and stool examination
- Serological studies for Hepatitis
- blood glucose level and if anything suspicious is found then one can go for

- Ultrasonography of Liver area [HB region] or CT scan of liver
- Liver biopsy, till then

. bed rest, plenty of glucose with pre-boiled water.
. low fat, high carbohydrate diet.
. Avoid close physical contact, avoid sharing personal items.
. keep the patient on minimal drugs.
