How To Treat Numbness And Pain In Lower Back And Chest Caused Due To A Fall?

Yesterday, I fell off a horse and landed hard on my right side at about 1pm. It knocked the wind out of me and took me a few minutes to be able to breath correctly. I wasn t able to put any weight on it for the next hour or so. I have been on crutches ever since. Yesterday evening, I noticed that my right behind cheek and lower back are numb. Its strange that there is not bruising, but it is still very painful. I can put some weight on it now, although my husband insists I continue to stay off it and use the crutches. I m concerned there is not bruising but there is numbness. I do have a bruise on the other side (left cheek) which is weird. Should I get it x-rayed or just take it easy for another day?
