How To Treat Numbness And Soreness In Arm After A Injury?

I was playing rugby yesterday. When i tackled someone i got a dead arm from the impact on the point of my sholder. Was sorr after training and still has a dead feeling. I then woke up this morning after iceing it and compressing it last night. And it was still dead and sore this morning?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have numbness and soreness in arm after a injury. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like neuropathy , diabetes , or nerve compression due to injury , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to arm injury. I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with nerve conduction test . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , nerve supplement and also recommend physical therapy . In some severe damage doctor may recommend surgery . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for muscle or nerve problem . For now warm compresses and take proper healthy diet . Certain exercises and stretching exercises will also be helpful.
