Hi,

I guess the abdominal pain has subsided with treatment given. The cyst is probably an unrelated incidental finding.

Most commonly, ovarian cysts in this age group is functional , occurring from transient hormonal variations.

These will disappear in 3-6 months. If there are no ultrasound features of concern(like solid components inside), we need not worry as the size is small. It is better to get blood CA-125 test done.

If this is normal, all that is needed is a repeat ultrasound after 3 months. Only if it persists or enlarges, we need intervention. Kindly discuss with a gynecologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
