Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain in my left foot just above the heel pad. I have a bruise an inch above that but I have not had an injury to the foot. I ve looked up reflexology chart of the foot and it shows the small intestines. What should I do? who should I see?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Pain in the foot above heel with a bruise can be treated in the following way: 1. Take antiinflammatory-analgesic tablet like Ibuprofen with Paracetamol combination after food twice daily. 2. Apply Neomycin skin cream topically on the wound twice a day after cleansing the area with mild antiseptic like Savlon. 3. Take a course of antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin. Take care not to cause any form of injury to the area. Your injury should start getting better in a couple of days time. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
