How To Treat Pain In Lower Back During Urination Due To Double Kidney Infection?

I had a double kidney infection and was put on strong antibiotics for 14 days. Did not clear up so my dr. Put me on a different antibiotic for 14 more days. I still have the pain in my lower back every time I have to urinate. Now they want me to bring a urine sample in tomorrow so they can send it off to see what s going on. I have recently been dxed with type two diabetes. What is wrong with me? Could my kidneys not be working anymore?

Hi,
It seems that you might be having resistant chronic bacterial infection giving this problem since long.
go for urine routine, microscopic and culture to know exact nature of infection and antibiotic working against this infection.
Go for ultra sound of kidneys to rule out any other problem in your kidneys.
Ok and take care.
