How To Treat Persistent Pain In Left Arm, Shoulder And Wrist Caused Due To Strain?

Hello- I m a nurse in a busy OB/GYN practice. I am left handed, write continuously, I use my right hand to use my mouse. The problem. My left arm from the shoulder down to my wrist hurts continuously like a nerve is being compressed. I would expect this if I used my left hand to control my mouse, or answered the phone with my left hand. I do not. Any suggestions?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

Check on your median nerve will be required, as carpal tunnel syndrome will have to be ruled out. If you do feel pain in any one particular finger, then we will have to rule out conditions like trigger finger also.

Best wishes.
