How To Treat Persistent Pain In Lower Back Caused Due To A Fracture?
I slipped n fell vigorously on the floor n had a L1 compression fracture ...its been 7 weeks n still I m having pain in my lower back n hips...I feel there s a bone protruding outside ...is it generally like this ? How long will it take to recover ? I m just taking a calcium supplement n no pain killers ...I m also on a very healthy diet ...n I m wearing a L s brace from day one ....hw many days or months I ve to wear this ...plz suggest ....I m 37 yrs old
hello user , i understand your concern. while the acute pain usually subsides in few days with appropriate treatment , some degree of subacute pain may be present through 8-12 weeks and may be even more , however usually it keeps on decreasing especially with scheduled physiotherpay as suggested by a orthopedician . you ensure adequate rest , taking calcium supplements is good - sometimes it may be a muscular pain also however which can be decreased by applying local analgesic gels/spray . good luck
