I shaved after shower, witha a electric razor fairly new and pushed close and with some pressure,i used lectric shave for lubrication before shaving.I broke out with large red blotches very itchy on my neck.I applieditch relief cream and slowly the irritation stopped from getting worse.
Hello, Thank you for posting on HCM. You have developed irritant contact dermatitis due to contents of Lectric pre-shave lotion. Firstly, stop applying lotion to prevent further reaction. You need to apply mild steroid cream containing desonide followed by good quality moisturiser like Cetaphil DAM twice a day. Take antihistaminics for itching as required. Avoid soap/facewash for few days and use plain water to rinse your face. Avoid pricking/scratching/peeling of skin. Use water-based sunscreen like Suncote sunscreen gel before going out in sun. Hope this will take care of your issue. Thank you Dr Hardik Pitroda
