How To Treat Redness And Swelling On Vaginal And Anal Area?

Hi I had a posterior wall repair of vagina. The area of the tissue that joins or is a wall between vagina and anus is v sore - it feels inflamed and red - a bit like nappy rash . Can I apply savlon to this area or will this encroach on stitches - though I am. It sure where the stitches ate located more likely inside the vagina. It feels like burning and is worse when I pass eater as this inflames it more. Any suggestions to calm it down - is the soreness due to stitches or could there be some sort of wound infection somewhere? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having some induration and irritation on the stitches site due to lack of proper hygiene and proper cleaning of the part.
Clean the area with antiseptic lotion after going to toilet or urination.
Apply antibiotic cream locally.
If pain and irritation increases then consult your operating doctor and get examined for having any infection at stitches site.
Avoid constipation.
Ok and take care.
