There are a lot of treatment options for Rosacea-topical, oral and light therapy. Apart from sun protection with a broad spectrum sunscreen, topical treatment options include mainly metronidazole 1%gel / cream Azaleic acid 10-20% gel / cream, Clindamycin gel, Pimecrolimus 1%cream(Elidel) etc. Oral treatment options include mainly Oral antibiotics e.g either Doxycycline, Minocycline or Roxithromycin and Oral retinoids e.g Isotretinoin. Light therapy plays an important role in reducing redness and telangiectasias in Rosacea e.g Intense pulse light therapy (IPL) and 585nm pulse.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
