Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How To Treat Severe Chest Muscle Pain Despite Having Muscle Flap Post Bypass Surgery?
my husband had a quadruple bypass in 2002....6 months later he was in extreme pain and they found that his wires has broken.....they opened up and did a muscle flap but to this date he is in extreme pain, has limited his activities and has difficulty breathing (lungs are fine....multiple tests). Can the muscle flap be reversed and possible reattachment of the sternum. He is 68 years old but feels 90
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that no reattachment isn't possible for him. Get his cardiac checkup done and if everything is fine with heart then give him pain killers SOS.
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
