How To Treat Severe Edema Caused On Leg Due To Wound?

I have 2 leg wounds that are healing. Being treated as a burn with silvadene and bandages changed 1x daily. My leg drains clear fluid, and the entire wound is due to splitting from severe edema, and then infection that has been treated with antibiotics. The area is neither red, nor warm and the odor coming from it is oniony, like really strong awful armpit odor. I have had abscesses in the past and know the smell, this is nothing like that. However, I cannot scrub my leg due to the pain and wound, so I am concerned about the onion odor. Seriously smells like the onions and sauce from the Big king burger from burger king. (Their version of the big Mac) is this smell from being constantly bandaged and moist due to the ointment and fluid?
