How To Treat Severe Edema In Lower Legs Leading To Pain?
Hi, I have severe edema in my lower legs just up past my knees. It hurts to walk and painful to the touch. I do take methadone for my back. I have not been able to sleep. I have gotten maybe 15 hours since last Thursday. Lack of sleep and standing for long periods of time cause the Edema. I have it maybe twice a year for about a week. This time it s not going away and it s worse than it s ever been. Any ideas?

I think you may need to use diuretics such Hydrochlorothiazide. Doesn't seem related to methadone usage. You may talk to your therapist about sleep problems.
