I know I need a total knee replacement that I have been putting off due to being in Stage 3 Renal Failure. There is a fear of infection or any complications could put me in Stage 4 (Dialysis). I take Ultrum for pain but like tonight I wake up with pain same knee but shoots from back of calf down to ankle. I can put my finger on the spot that the pain starts and I have tried ice and just rubbing that area to no avail. Is this related to my knee arthritis and I am more bow-legged then ever before. I feel like everything is moving to the right outside my leg. Any thoughts? Feels like a knot where I push on it.
