How To Treat Severe Menstrual Irregularity With Normal Hemoglobin Level And Thyroid Test?
Hello , I was very much normal 4 years before i shifted to a place to do my bachelors , that is , i was getting my periods in a proper cycle .But after going to that place , it became too abnormal that i used to get it after 2 months or even not get it sometimes . Got it checked for haemoglobin level and thyroid test . Both came out to be normal . I seriously don't know what is the problem because even after coming back to the same place after 4 years , i am still facing the same trouble.
Hi, Welcome to HCM, There are several reasons for irregularity and delayed period, or for not getting period. It may not be the change in place. You need to do some more test, like Fasting Insulin, FSH, Prolactin Etc. You have to see the Doctor, who will ask your complete history, any other associated symptoms, Family history of Diabetes, and other hormonal or metabolic diseases, your contraceptive history, Obstetric history Your Doctor will do your complete clinical examination to get a clue for possible cause, and advice investigation and management accordingly. Hb and thyroid disorders are the most common but not the only cause for these menstrual irregularities. Hope you got your answer. Take care, Dr H Hamdani
