How To Treat Severe Nausea In A 10 Years Old Child While On Zantac With No Relief?

Hi, My daughter who is 10 years old has severe nausea at night and in the early morning, Zantac has been prescribed, but has not really helped, the rest of her day is good and symptom free. She is an extremely active child and does a lot of sport including gymnastics.

Thank you

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Vomiting could be because of several causes and may not be only because of gastritis. Conditions like raised intracranial tension or intestinal obstruction etc can also rarely cause vomiting. Please consult your doctor for a physical examination. Your doctor may order certain investigations based on the physical examination findings. Diagnosis and further management depends on the investigation reports.
Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
