How To Treat Severe Pain Between Right Shoulder And Elbow Despite Having Cortisone Shots?
I have a extreme pain between my right shoulder and elbow. In certain positionsituations it feels like it locks up I can t lift it or move it on its own. I have to use my left hand to pick it up and move it. It s a small section..I can lift to a point then use left hand to get past the point then can lift the rest of the way on its own.I ve had 2 cortisone shots and recently had a PRP Procedure to repair a tear of the labrum.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Your symptoms suggest possibility of shoulder joint / muscles or tendons around it / rotator cuff injury. An MRI of the part would reveal the cause. Please consult an orthopedic doctor for detailed physical examination followed by investigation followed by cause specific medication/management. Till then give rest to the part. Avoid painful movements. Avoid massage. Hot pad can help to some extent.Over the counter pain pill (Ibugesic )would give some relief.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
