How To Treat Severe Pain In Knee Caused After Injury?

I had an accident injury 2 weeks ago walking off a Sea Doo when my r. Foot hung up and a wave came in pushing my leg backwards and upwards. I m 72 woman and active after a week went for x Ray. Called it a cute sprain and sent me to sports med dr who gave me a MRI. He called it Mediscus MRI results will not be back until next Friday. It does not hurt in the knee cap area. I can stand on it walk on it and go up and down steps. I can only bend the knee to the chair sitting position cannot go any further back, when I try to bend it further I get a sharp pain about two inches above the knee and on the outside of the leg. And boy does it hurt. I would like to know what you think I might have wrong.

For intense pain and bruise in knee you can take some antibiotic like ampoxin or droxyl after an expert opinion along with combiflam or ibugesic-plus for pain and swelling. Do hot water fomentation over knee to reduce the pain and inflammation. Don't worry much you will be fine within few days.

I really appreciate your concern, I could guess from the history given and the MRI that it must be meniscus injury of the knee and if this is true then the option for this is surgery, till then it can be managed with conservative line of treatment like do not bend the knee joint, avoid walking and standing for long time and "Tab Diclofenac 50 mg" once in day hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
