Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in left leg while suffering from osteoarthritis . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sciatica , gout , bursitis , herniated disc or broken bone . But in your case the symptoms are due to osteoarthritis. I would suggest you to give proper rest to your leg , apply warm compresses on leg , keep your leg stabilize and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan, MRI or physical examination . Doctor may give plaster , prescribe orthodox MR along with anti inflammatory and recommend physical therapy or surgery in severe joint problem . Gentle massage with flax seed oil will be helpful.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
