How To Treat Severe Pain In Tailbone Caused Due To An Injury?

I fell in a hole in my basement early afternoon. One leg in the hole and landed on my concrete basement floor very hard on my tailbone. I am having lots of pain walking and sitting. I have taken a couple of advils and one hydro which has helped the pain but not totally. Wonder if I should go to the ER for an xray to make sure I didn t fracture it?
