How To Treat Severe Palm Pain Caused Due To An Injury?

HI! A few weeks ago I hurt my palm (hit the corner of the furniture while running). the pain was very bad, the palm was hurt pulsing for the whole day, then it was a little numb for the next day, still hurt for a few day in row. Then It was fine and I forgot about it. But yesterday I was adjusting my backpack, and after pulling one of the strings I felt pain in that palm again. Then it hurt all day.. today the pain went in my fingers. The joints are hurt, its painful to bend/move my fingers, especially one of them. What could it be and what should I do? Thank you

Hello,

People with soft tissue injuries do not usually require medical treatment, but ice and elevation can help relieve pain and swelling. It is also important to rest or immobilize the hand while it recovers. Mallet finger, or baseball finger, is another common hand injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
