How To Treat Skin Infection In A 1 Month Old Child?

My 1 month old daughter got a skin infection like red color rough skin. My doctor prescribed diprovate rd. I use that the rashes git cleared but her skin become pale than normal skin. Doctor asked to continue the same till the color get change. I am using it for one month but no effect. Shall I continue the s as me cream? Or what should I do to get normal color
