Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have sleep apnea and use a mouth guard after not liking or feeling with the CPAP. I usually still feel sleepy and used to be able to fall asleep quite quickly. In the last 2 weeks, I have had a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep. I do have some things like new job, daughter going off to college going on, but how can I get some sleep now that I need it. Tylenol PM doesn t cut it; melatonin doesn t cut it. I need something that won t hurt my liver...Thx
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this is the sleep apnea then type of this would be matter of concern in most of the cases it could be obstructive and CPAP is the best option but it has to along with changing life style, try to change the sleep position, lateral position is good, avoid, alcohol, smoking, it may be associate with some psychic elements, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
