How To Treat Soft Bump On Temple Of Head Caused After Injury?
Hello. My three year old fell off his brothers bunk bed. He had a good bump on the temple of his head. They said to watch him and he s been acting normal...no sickness dizziness ext. But his swelling moved down to his eye and nose. And now he has a soft puffy spot where he hit his head. Is it normal for swelling to move and a soft bump to apper 24 hours after a head bump.

As per your query you have soft bump on temple of head caused after injury ,which moved down to his eye and nose . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like hematoma , a cyst , lump after injured area got infected reactive fibrosis , myositis ossificans or soft tissue tumor . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to bump thrice aday , do not touch or rub the bump with hand and consult oral maxillofacial surgeons for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like tissue biopsy and will examine physically to check consistency of tissue and tenderness . Doctor may drain the bump by giving small incision under local anesthesia , prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory or may surgically excise the tissue under the lump .
