How To Treat Sore Throat Caused After Having Flu Like Symptoms?

I am a 24 year old female. A few weeks ago I wound up with what seemed like the flu for 3 or 4 days, coughing until I threw up, fevers and such. It went away but there was a soreness in the back left side of my throat. It seemed maybe i had a tonsil that was swelled and sore. I thought originally i was getting strep, however, one morning i dry coughed very hard and pain exploded throughout the swelled area, felt like something came out of it. Afterward it reduced in swelling and is only lightly tender now, but I cant really talk properly. If i try to yell or sing it comes out really airy if at all. Its been like 3 weeks now, whats going on?

Hello

It looks like that you have developed an infection in your voice box , specifically your vocal cords and i would like you to meet your ent doctor for confirming this. You will need antibiotics for this , so please meet your doctor . Meanwhile please give your voice as much rest as you can,and take steam inhalation 3-4 times a day.

Thanks
