How To Treat Soreness In Throat After Suffering From Strep Throat?

I have recently had strep.I am currently on antibiotics and almost done with them. I had a swollen gland when I went in for my strep test and now it feels like a have a very tiny sore on it that is causing discomfort when I eat. Do you know what this is?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that discomfort in swallowing seems to be most probably due to inflammation of the tonsils oy and a small sore can be a pus pocket or an abscess secondary to infection leading to discomfort while swallowing..
I would suggest you to continue with the antibiotics as advised and also take Advil or Aleve to relieve pain..
Do warm saline gargles..
Gargle with numbing mouthwash before meals as it will reduce pain and discomfort while swallowing..
You can chew Vitamin c pellet daily..
Suck throat lozenges..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
