How To Treat Speech Difficulties In A Child With Cerebellum Hypoplasia?

My grandson has a smaller cerebellum than normal. He is almost 3 yrs old now, can walk omly when he holds your hand, can t speak but he tries. He s learning to communicate with a picture book and sign language. He will most likely always have difficulty with walking but I was wondering what his chances are in ever learning to speak. Also, do children with this diagnosis have learning disabilities and/or behaviour problems? Right now he s a happy child.
