Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My son got diagnosed with staphoccos epirdermitis while on a humanitarian mission in the Philippines. He is on a second bout of antibiotics. I am worried....he will be coming home soon but what would cause this and what should he be doing once here...is this worrisome?
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. This is not serious thing unless it spreads outside the skin and this rarely happens. He should finish antibiotic course and see will condition improve in next 2 weeks. Also, antibiotics can be changed if there is no relief. I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
