How To Treat Sudden Dizziness, Nausea And Lightheadedness?

y friend is experiencing sudden dizziness and lightheadhead ness along with nausea This began about 20 to 30 minutes ago and she has never experienced any of these symptons before. She is 67 yerars old and never complains until now!!! What should I do for her.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query your friend has sudden dizziness, nausea and lightheadedness 20 - 30 minutes ago . Well there can be many reasons for dizziness like ,Low blood sugar and iron level , Some medications like anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives and tranquilizers , Ear infection , Due to sonme medication , Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo , Meniere's disease and Migraine . As it happen 20-30 minutes ago it must not be due to some serious problem . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order certain tests like CT scan , blood test , rotatory chair test , posturography and examination with otoscope . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug , antibiotics (amoxicillin or penicillin ) at least for 10 days , antihistamine , Prochlorperazine and recommend vestibular therapy . For now do warm saline gargles and take stean twice daily .
