How To Treat Swelling Due To Pimple In The Ear Lobe?

I felt some tenderness in my earlobe, then eventually a pimple appeared. I figured that it was fairly normal so I bursted it and gradually it began to swell more and more. I was able to drain some pus out, but each time my earlobe would seem to get bit more irritated and swollen. The area of the pimple is now healed but the swellen is still present. My regular doctor s office is closed for next couple days. What should I do in the meantime?

Hello,

It may be staphylococcus infection. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. Use tablet lyser d for pain twice a day for five days.

Clindamycin gel locally youbmay apply twice a day for five days. Don't do anything with your hands.

If no improvement please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
