How To Treat Swelling, Pain And Itching Sensation On Foot Caused After Injury?

Hi, I fell two days ago and hurt my foot. It is slightly swollen, hurts, and itches like crazy. It is on the side of the little toe and I was wondering if it could be a broken or green fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone? I can put weight on the foot but it hurts. It s the itching that is really bothering me along with the swollen tight feeling of the foot. Could it be broken even if I can put weight on it? I am afraid of feeling like a fool if I go to the ER and it isn t broken.

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that it is broken especially if it is swollen and painful but if you wish you can use anti inflammatory pain medication to see if this helps.

If it is very painful however, it would be best to see a doctor for examination and an x ray.

I hope this helps
