Hi, the swelling seems to be an abscess. It may be periodontal related to the structures surrounding the root such as gums and bone. It may also be due to an infection in the canine or premolar. Please take an X ray, an OPG would be better. The treatment plan would depend on the X ray findings. Antibiotics, anti inflammatory medications and dental treatment are necessary. Take care!
