Hi,
Your history is classical of a
fracture of the small bones of a foot as there is swelling and discoloration, the oedema not subsiding with leg elevation and
cold fomentation.
Hence I would advise you the following:
- Consult your Doctor for clinical examination.
- Get 2 X-rays of the foot in different views to find out if there is any fracture.
- If fracture is present then you surely need a plaster or may be a small procedure like K-wire insertion or so.
- If the fracture is not present then plaster
splint to support.
- Continue cold fomentation and leg elevation.
- Anti-inflammatory medicines.
Get these things done asap to avoid delayed diagnosis and proper management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
