General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your husband should visit ER, get physically examined, have dressing done if required. He needs to get an injection for Tetnus (inj tetvac), he should take injection Amoxycillin for at least 3 days.

If his situation is not critical he can take Amoxycillin or Augmentin orally.

He can apply ointment Soframycin in the area affected. Ointment Burnol also works well.

Protect the affected area from getting infected. Yes, he can become physically sick due to burn if the wound gets infected.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
