Hi dear , The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as acid reflux disease also known as (GERD) gastrointestinal reflux disease . This occur due to abnormal function of upper sphincter of esophagus . The acidis content of stomach come upto the oropharynx and cause irritation to the mucosa of throat and tongue which is reason for soreness of throat and tongue along with dry cough . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist and ENT specialist for proper diagnosis and rule out condition like strep throat . For now eat light meals specially at night , avoid acidic and heavy food , do warm saline rinses and take antacid like gelusil .
