Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My clitoris and vaginal area have been very itchy and irritated. I have noticed a small tear right above my clitoris on the hood. I went to go inspect for myself and used a qtip to clean it out but some sort of yellowish creamy gooey discharge came out. I am not sexually active seeing as I am a teenager but I am very concerned as this has gone on for around a week.
You noticed a small tear above your clitoris. Your vagina area is also itchy and irritated. You are not sexually active. Yeast infection in the vagina can result in uncomfortable symptoms, including itching, burning, and foul smelling discharge. Take a course of antifungal medications for relief.
Bacterial Vaginosis also causes similar symptom and is treated with antibiotics (metronidazole). To help tear above clitoris heal faster, take care of your hygiene. Use warm water and a gentle cleanser to wash your genital area. Do not use scented soaps, lotions, and bubble baths. Change wet or damp clothing right after exercising. Avoid swimming. You can apply ointment Soframycin on the area affected to help it heal faster. Do not touch or scratch.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
