How To Treat Testicle Pain Caused Due To Weak Ligaments?

Hi, my son is 36 years old and was told today that he has a weak ligament in his testicle. He has been in pain for years now after having two different hernia surgeries. He wakes up with his testicles in his abdomen. He has to push them down to where they are supposed to go. The doctor said he needs to see a urologist but I don t know where to send him. We live in western NC

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood the history related to your son, aged 36, who has undergone 2 hernia surgeries, developed pain in the testicles after surgery, wakes up with his testicles in abdomen which he has to push down.
His Doctor has talked about weak ligaments in testicles.

Well, the commonest possibilities are:
- Due to 2 hernia surgeries there was nerve damage or entrapment, which caused the pain and the muscular problems.
- The retraction of the testicles in the abdomen indicate that there is pain induced spasm of cremaster and the lower abdominal muscles pulling the testicles into the abdominal wall.

I would advise re-exploration for findings the entrapped nerve, either release it or if not possible cut a long length so that the neurogenic cause is gone.
I find this answer helpful
