How To Treat The Allergic Reaction Caused By Cefdinir?

I had an allergic reaction to cednifir. My legs and torso and arms have a red rash. Three days now. Also, just today, my ankles and feet have started really swelling. Is the allergic reaction increasing? I stopped the drug 36 hours ago. There is also redness in my eyes. Is any of this dangerous?

Thanks for your query .The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards allergic reaction .Yes cefdinir known to cause skin rashes as one of the side effects.

Sometimes it use to cause allergy when interact with other over the counter medicine .So one should tell the doctor all the medications he/she is taking before prescription.You should also tell the doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics.

I would suggest you to consult doctor without any delay.Because such allergic reaction can have certain complications like anaphylactic shock ,which can be life threatening.Doctor will treat your symptoms and may prescribe some substitute or alternate dose.
