my husband (age 60 weight 364)is a diabetic he takes metformin (1000mg)2xs a day and 2 insulin injections(humulin 70/30) per day of 65 units -- he has chronic lower back pain and is currently taking heavy duty pain meds(endocet, lyrica, naproxin.tramadol, baclophen) he also takes medication for high blood pressure(cardivilol, crestor, and anti-depressants (lexapro, topamax, trazadol, clonazapan)i make him do his glucose number as many times a day as i can and his sugars have been running very high at times.... recently both of his legs from the knees down developed blisters that open and constantly discharge fluid (enough to wet thru a regular pair or socks in less than an hour) he refuses to consult with his principal care doctor and does not have an endocrinologist - he is a straight k medicaid recipient --what is causing his legs to do this what do i do to take care of them i am really scared about this -- what can you tell me, what do i need to do
