How To Treat Tingling Sensation And Numbness In Left Thumb Caused After Injury?

three day ago. A baseball hit me hard left hand, just 6 inches lower of my left thumb. next day the hand was fine but on day three . the area begun to swelling. a little bit tingling and numbness in the left thumb. I am taking ibuprofens and some Ice. Should I be concerened?

Hello. I have gone through your question. Your condition can be due to the swelling of your left thumb. Swelling causes pressure on a nerve. The nerve may also become entrapped or compressed, which causes tingling and numbness. It should go away as the swelling subsides. If it still occurs, you should visit your doctor once.
