Thanks for asking at healthcare magic I read your question and I understand your concern.
Pregnancy is an immunocompromised state..
Hence all pregnant ladies are susceptible to infections
Most common are
Urinary tract infection, Rickettsial infections, mastitis and bacterial sepsis; viral illness common in winter season..
If you are feeling febrile despite seven days hospitalization... so it means you are either under treated or you are resistant to those antibiotics you are treated with or you have suffered new infection..
You may have viral illness.. the best way was that you had a
blood culture, urine culture and were treated according to local sensitivity patterns before starting empirical treatment..
I would advise you to have a fresh blood count
Urine detailed examination.. and continue your medication for at least fourteen days as sometimes patient is febrile for 5-7 days despite fever .. and add
azithromycin to your treatment for at least five days if you are on a single drug.. Take Tylenol for fever relief
As you have recurrent
enteric fever..
Your primary health care provider can offer you
typhoid vaccination after your pregnancy is over and twenty eight days course of
oral antibiotics like
amoxicillin or cholycestectomy if you have gallstones and treatment for kidney stones if you have.. that causes recurrent enteric fever..
Adopt good hygienic measures..
Hope it helps best
