I have an ulcer on my labia frenulum. It's slightly redder than gum elongated inflamed bit I've a blister before its popped with a pin price white dot on it. It appeared last night. I have good overall dental hygiene but this week I'm away and brush I'm using is quite old and hard as I forgot my sonic brush. Gums also dint seem as pink as they usually are are, they look like there's less blood in them, dull pale. My doctor is miles away.
As per your query you have ulcer on your labia . The most probable reason for ulcer is cancer sore due injury caused by hard brush . There is nothing to panic , usually it will go away in few days . Stop using hard brush and use ultrasoft brush , do hydrogenperoxide rinses mix with equal amount of water , apply orabase gel for pain and itching and maintain proper oral hygiene . Also you can take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and swelling . If it doesn't go away in few days then consult oral pathologist for proper examination . Doctor will eaxmine physically and may order fer tests to rule out condition like cold sores or herpes . Doctor may prescribe antiviral drug like acyclovir depending upon the diagnosis .
Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
