How To Treat Uncontrolled Loose Motion While On Metamucil, With History Of Blood Pressure,thyroid And Depression?

My husband is 65 and has been having loose bowels on and off for 6 months. He's had several accidents before he could make it to the bathroom. His Dr. Suggested metamucil, which he's been taken. He hasn't had an accident for weeks but had another one today. He takes several meds for high blood pressure, theriod, heart meds and depression.

His blood pressure meds, thyroid meds, heart meds and depression may not be responsible for the loose stools that are occurring. Its possible that there is an inflamation in the colon leading to this kind of problem. One has to be cautious with such symptoms in the old age it would be worthwhile to get a Colonoscopy done.
