Had upper lip burn from waxing, it appeared red slower and painful...mapplied burn cream for the next 48 days and just vitamin e oil now since it s dry and I think stating to heal. My Inverness, since its facial area, would it leave scar or dark skin when it peels? How to treat it?
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. From your history and description, the lesion could probably leave behind a dark mark/patch at the site of burn. This is medically called as post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. You could apply a cream containing 2% kojic acid and vitamin C twice a day after it completely heals and the scab falls away. Avoid sunlight as it could worsen the pigmentation. You could also get spot glycolic peels done by a dermatologist if the mark is very dark. You may need 6-8 sessions every 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps you. Take care.
