How To Treat Vertigo When Diagnosed With Lesion On Brain?
I have been suffering with vertigo since January. 4 mris, spinal tap, ekgs, cat scans they found a lesion on my brain, but don t think it is the cause of the vertigo. So do i have to pay any thing before I get answers? Have you treated people with vertigo?
I am not sure if the lesion can be ruled out to be the cause for vertigo so easily or not. But, if they are ruling out the lesion to be the cause then they need to conduct an elaborate ENT evaluation, blood pressure.monitoring, cardiac profile, etc.
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is the most common cause for vertigo and needs to be ruled out as well. Yes I have treated patients with vertigo and I use betahistine (dosage depends on individual requirements) but you can start with 8 mg (one tablet twice daily) in the beginning and if it does not help then take it thrice daily.
Best wishes.
