Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good morning, I am a 66 year old woman. Last week I got out of bed and could not seem to walk in a straight line but diagonally. This seems to happen when I get out of bed or up from the settee. I am not sure whether this is vertigo or an ear infection. While I am aware I should make an appointment with my Doctor, my question is if it is vertigo, what is the treatment and can it be cured? I look forward to your reply. Thank you.
I believe it can be vertigo,or benign positional vertigo according to the symptoms you refer. Visiting an ENT doctor is advisable. You can use betahistine to improve it.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
