How To Treat Vibrations In Body And Severe Sweating In Neck And Back?

I am a quadriplegic, taking gabapentin 300 mg three times a day, tramadol, one pill 4 times a day, and tizanidine 4 mg 4 times a day. I was taking Klonopin, but had severe problems with my fingernails getting red and swollen above the cuticle and then I would lose the fingernail. I ve started weaning myself off of Klonopin, starting with three times a day .5 mg down to one half of 1/4 of pill and then I stopped taking it. I did this in about a week. I have been off it for five days and I am experiencing my body violently jerking me back and forth while I lay in bed. Tizanidine seems to help after a while. What is making me jerk like that and when will it stop? Also I have been experiencing severe sweating on my neck and back. How long will it take to get this out of my system? I m not going back on that drug anymore! Is there anything else that will help?

Hello!

My name is Dr. Aida and I am glad to attend you on Healthcaremagic!

Your symptoms are related to clonazepam withdrawal symptoms. I would recommend using diazepam for a short period of time.
If your situation does not improve, I would recommend discussing with your doctor on the possibility of starting baclofen to help against the muscle spasms.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Best regards!
