General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Estrogen does have a significant effect on the body. The physical and emotional changes associated with the decline in estrogen can last a varied amount of time.
In some cases weeks, in other years so it is hard to predict.

Altering your diet and activity if possible, would be needed to help combat the increase in weight.
You should choose a diet plan that you are comfortable with and stick with it.
The main options are low carbohydrate diet or low fat/low calorie diet.

Activity may help to improve your energy level.

I hope this helps
