How To Treat Weight Loss, Anorexia And Black Colored Sticky Stools?

Everytime I eat, I pass black sticky tarry stools hard to clean off. Weight loss, anorexia, fatigue but no stomach pain or cramps. Recently quit taking ferrous sulfate for iron deficiency anemia. I am a disabled RN and cannot afford medical advice. What can I do besides stopping the iron to treat. Never can empty my bowel despiteeating practically nothing.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have weight loss, anorexia and black colored sticky stools . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastrointestinal bleeding , medication reaction or side-effect , depression , mononucleosis , helicobacter pylori infection , hyperthyroidism or iron poisoning . In your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to iron poisoning . I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , ultrasound , endoscopy to rule out other possibility and treat it accordingly .
